Student of the Month
We want to congratulate our Student of the Month recipients. August: Marjorie (Kindergarten), Alyssa (First), Ava (Second), Casius (Fourth), Kaden (Fifth). September: Gavin (Kindergarten), Reed (First), Angie (Second), and Catherine (Third). October: Olivia (First), Julie (Second), Cali (Fourth), Kane (5th).
Keep up the hard work! We are proud of you.
We will be starting school on August 9th, with an Open House planned for August 7th from 4:00-6:00 pm. Our school day will continue to be from 8:30am-3:00pm.
I must let you know that “the project” is not complete. We had been on track for a July 27th completion, but last week, once the exterior was opened for remediation work, more issues were found. The majority of the interior areas have been cleaned and all areas are now sealed with a plastic barrier as well as OSB. In addition, the areas are contained within floor to ceiling plastic barriers that provide airflow within. We anticipate hard containment walls to be installed with the next two weeks so that we can begin the new school year. At this time, we do not know how long it will take for the exterior issues to be addressed. Once exterior problems are solved, work on the interior can resume.
We will be changing our main entrance to the bus gate used for arrival of bus students/dismissal of all students. Students should still use the crosswalk to access the sidewalk. Mrs. Hoffman and myself are located in the cafeteria.
While the situation is less than ideal, we are committed to the education of your child(ren) and thank you for bearing with us during this difficult and frustrating time.
Please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.

Thursday-Friday, Nov. 22,23-Thanksgiving Break
School begins promptly at 8:30, children are welcome to enter starting at 8:20. We ask that you try to follow these times as much as possible, not dropping students off too early but also making sure they are on time. Many mornings before school we are getting things ready for the day. However, we are always happy to meet with families before school if that is requested. We also ask for anyone that enters the school to sign-in and check with the receptionist before going into the cafeteria or classrooms. We are very excited to begin another year with your students and look forward to working together to make this year a great learning experience. If you have any questions please call the school at 364-3041. See you soon!
A Community Focused on Learning
Double Adobe Elementary School's Mission is to provide programs to meet students' needs in a two-grade traditional classroom setting. Arizona's College and Career Standards are emphasized along with various enrichment activities. Community involvement and resources help encourage a well-rounded education for our students. We provide opportunities to develop responsible, independent, and caring students.
This is a reminder for all parents and students to please use the crosswalk when entering or leaving the building. We do not want anyone to get hurt, safety first!
