We are proud to announce that we are an "A" School. Thank you to students and staff for the hard work!
A Big Thank You
We want to thank the Valley Recreation Council, INC. and Burl & Liz Schweikart and any others that donated school supplies for our Double Adobe students. Each student will get supplies to help them start the school year off right. Thanks again!
We also want to send a thank you to Ms. Barbara Heck for her donation to the school. This donation was given in memory of her son Erin Mendel. Thank You!
School begins promptly at 8:30, children are welcome to enter starting at 8:20. We ask that you try to follow these times as much as possible, not dropping students off too early but also making sure they are on time. Many mornings before school we are getting things ready for the day. However, we are always happy to meet with families before school if that is requested. We also ask for anyone that enters the school to sign-in and check with the receptionist before going into the cafeteria or classrooms. We are very excited to begin another year with your students and look forward to working together to make this year a great learning experience. If you have any questions please call the school at 364-3041. See you soon!
There will be no school on Monday, September 7th in honor of Labor Day. School will resume Tuesday, September 8th.
This is a reminder for all parents and students to please use the crosswalk when entering or leaving the building. We do not want anyone to get hurt, safety first!
A Community Focused on Learning
Double Adobe Elementary School's Mission is to provide programs to meet students' needs in a two-grade traditional classroom setting. Arizona's College and Career Standards are emphasized along with various enrichment activities. Community involvement and resources help encourage a well-rounded education for our students. We provide opportunities to develop responsible, independent and caring students.
We want to thank the United Way of Sierra Vista and Cochise County for their book contribution to the 1st/2nd grade classroom. The United Way provided each student with a backpack filled with 8 books. The goal is for students to read over the summer to maintain and increase in their reading skills. Thanks so much United Way!!!
